docs: clarify Linux desktop availability in README (#7698)

README advertised a Linux AppImage on GitHub Releases while
v0.16.1 and later stable releases only publish macOS/Windows
artifacts. Clarify that Linux users can run from source today
and that a prebuilt Linux release is pending, with links to
the source-run instructions and tracker #4368.
