Since we copy the schematics after the version placeholders have been inlined, the version range that uses the NG version placeholder is not replaced properly.
This is not problematic because by default we determine the NG version based on the installed `@angular/core` version.
```
addPackageToPackageJson(host, '@angular/animations',
ngCoreVersionTag || requiredAngularVersionRange);
```
Since the overview for `cdk/platform` is pretty bare on the docs site at the moment, these changes add an example that illustrates how the utilities can be used.
* Suppress Bazel warnings when compiling the unit tests. This is necessary for the test tsconfig because TypeScript does not inherit third-party `tsconfig` options.
On touch devices `:hover` styling persists after the user has tapped. These changes hide the persistent ripple if the user isn't able to hover, in order to avoid confusion with the other ripples.

* Adds the `CdkStepHeader` directive which is the equivalent of `MatStepHeader` and can be used by consumers when building custom steppers.
* Fixes an error that was being thrown on init when using a `cdkStepper` directly.
Fixes#10611.
* feat(drag-utils): add utility function for cloning array items from one array to another
creates a utility helper for cloning an array item into the array of the drop container
compliments moveItemInArray and transferArrayItem
partially closes#13100
* feat(drag-utils): add utility function for cloning array items from one array to another
resolves issues surfaced from code review
* feat(drag-utils): add utility function for cloning array items from one array to another
cuts extra space between parens
* removes link in comments, and clarifies function definition as recommended in review
* resolves nits
Unlike other components that we use Hammer on, the tooltip won't show up at all on a touch device if Hammer isn't loaded. These changes add a fallback to using a `touchstart` event to trigger the tooltip.
Also fixes the `_manualListeners` not being cleared on Android.
Fixes#13536.
* Similarly to the CDK schematics, schematics that can be (ng-)`generated` should be grouped into its own directory. This cleans up the schematics folder and makes it clear where each schematic lives.
* Removes a tslint ignore comment in a schematic test.
* build: test material with bazel
* Supports testing `src/lib` with Bazel.
* Add prebuilt theme to all Material tests
* Always include prebuilt theme. Rebase changes for paginator spec
In favor of consistency, the versions that will be inserted when running `ng-add`, should be aligned with the default Angular dependencies in a new CLI project.
This means that we should not provide the version with a leading caret because that means that NPM can automatically/ and magically update to the most recent minor version. This shouldn't cause any problems but is just not in sync with other Angular dependencies.
All other Angular dependencies (e.g. `@angular/core') will be installed with a leading tilde. This means that it can only happen that NPM automatically updates to the most recent patch release. We should do the same in order to be consistent.
* Similar to how we did it for the CDK, the ts compilations through Bazel and Gulp should be as similar as possible in order to make the tests w/ Bazel creditable.
Fixes that Angular Material cannot be used with ES2015. See #12760 for detailed information. We already had a workaround applied, but this improves the workaround because it only partially worked for classes where no attributes were defined.
Fixes#13695.
One of the selectors in the step header assumes that there will be at least one parent with a `dir="ltr"` or `dir="rtl"`. These changes rework it to have LTR as the base.
Fixes#13741.
* Updates to the latest `dgeni-packages` version that includes: https://github.com/angular/dgeni-packages/commit/5d90fd9f31541f380a62a52fd31493b232b9585c. This allows us to remove a workaround.
* Removes the closure testing stuff that hasn't been used for months. In case we want to reintroduce testing w/ Google Closure, we should consider using Bazel or something (AFAIK there are Bazel rules for closure)
Adds the ability for the paginator to be disabled. This is useful for cases like long-running HTTP requests where the user shouldn't be able to change the current page while the data is still loading.
Fixes#13145.
Adds the `animationDuration` input and the `MAT_TABS_CONFIG` injection token that can be used to configure the duration of the tab animation.
Fixes#13428.

Due to the fact that the `<mat-button-toggle-group>` still has `cursor: pointer`, the webkit tap highlight overlay will show up on touch devices.
This causes a bad UX because the overlay covers the whole group while only an individual option has been touched. Additionally a ripple already shows up and now conflicts with the tap highlight overlay.
