* Fixes an incorrect import inside of the sort entry-point of Material. Due to a relative import to the core entry-point, the prerender task fails to execute and the packaging doesn't work properly either.
Moves the `FocusOriginMonitor` into `@angular/cdk/a11y`, renames it to `FocusMonitor`, deprecates the `StyleModule` and updates all the references.
BREAKING CHANGE: `FocusOriginMonitor` has been renamed to `FocusMonitor`.
* Due to the recent changes in the Material package, the payload is no longer calculated correctly. All components have been moved into different bundles instead of a single bundle.
Currently when trying to serve the devapp, the `build-bundles` task seems to be broken. Rollup is not able to properly read the source files from the disk because the `.js` file extension is missing.
* build: cancel screenshot diff if there is no activity
* No longer just gives the screenshot diff task 8 minutes to pass, because the run time can vary. Now it just exits the process if the last action in the task takes longer than 6 minutes.
* Instead of just closing the firebase connection, the process will be exited with an error code. Just closing the connection is not helpful and breaks the screenshot diff Web Interface.

Before this change, all of `@angular/material` was bundled into a
single, flat JS file.
After this change, each top-level component (i.e., each directory under
`src/lib`) will be have its own JS file (and d.ts and metadata.json).
The benefit of this change is that current versions of webpack will be
able to do a much better job of only including the code an app is using.
It also allows (but does not require) people to explicitly import from specific components,
e.g.
```
import {MdButtonModule} from '@angular/material/button';
``
For development _within Angular Material itself_ we have to use these
deeper imports because the root `@angular/material` doesn't exist until
we build the relase package.
Additionally, this PR adds a `tsconfig.json` for each dir under `src/`
with the correct path mappings for that directory, so that IDEs will
correctly generate imports.
Closure Compiler CI check is also disabled by this PR; it cannot work
with the new package structure until a release with
https://github.com/google/closure-compiler/pull/2600 is made available.
* fix(menu): multiple close events for a single close
Don't emit a closed event when another event will be emitted. Previously, if one clicked on a menu item, one would get two events: `undefined` and `click` in that order. One would see similar behavior for `keydown` or clicking the backdrop. Unit tests were updated to prevent a regression.
Prevents the sub-menu trigger from staying highlighted if the user clicks on it and moves away to another menu item.
Fixes#6838.
* fix: firefox tests crashing
Adds the `change` method to the `ViewportRuler`, allowing for components to hook up to a common window resize handler.
BREAKING CHANGE: Previously the `ScrollDispatcher.scrolled` subscription would react both on scroll events and on window resize events. Now it only reacts to scroll events. To react to resize events, subscribe to the `ViewportRuler.change()` stream.
Fixes the tooltip being closed immediately if it is opened as a result of a click. It seems like the logic that was supposed to handle this in master fires before the event has had the chance to bubble up to the body. These changes switch to relying on Angular's animation events to disable the body click.
Relates to #6552.
Currently the value of a `MdListOption` is coerced to a boolean. This is not the correct behavior because it would mean that there could be only two values (true/false).
Needed for #6896
* Adds the ability to select and deselect all options at once.
* Adds a demo of the selection list to the demo app.
* Fixes an issue that caused the checkbox inside the selection list to collapse.
* Sets the proper cursor on the list items.
Fixes#6969.
Fixes a few memory leaks that were caused by subscribing to `NgZone.onMicrotaskEmpty` or `NgZone.onStable`. Because the two streams are `EventEmitters`, the subscription doesn't get GC-ed correctly. These changes switch to converting the emitters to observables before subscribing to them.
Fixes#6905.
