* Adds a `pointer-cursor` to the chip remove button to indicate that it's clickable.
* Adds a transition to the focused chip `box-shadow` to make it less harsh.
* Breaks up a long line that was exceeding our character limit.
Fixes issue in the grid list that was causing it to set invalid styles when it is rendered on the server-side. It's because the browser converts the camelCased styles to dash-case automatically, but that doesn't happen on the server.
Fixes#6048.
* Cleanup harsh colors for selected button toggle
- Light theme: black -> black-54
- Dark theme: white -> white-70
* Make the slider min thumb less harsh in light theme
- Light theme: black -> black-87
- Dark theme: white -> white
* Use default text color for expansion panel
* fix(slide-toggle): invalid model change event (#4140)" (#4218)
While initially looking into #4124, there were a few more issues inside of the slide-toggle.
* ngModelChange event is dispatched at initialization.
* Checked state isn't synchronized when state changes through drag. New state after dragging got overwritten by click event on label.
* Removes unnecessary logic inside of `change` listener. Change event doesn't fire if underlying checkbox is disabled.
Fixes#4124.
* Cast NgModel value to a boolean
* Properly mark component for check
* In releases there will be a constant called `VERSION` that holds the current version of the installed package (material or cdk)
* This is similar as for every @angular package like core, forms, compiler.
Scrolls to the active link in the demo app when the sidenav is opened. Previously it would jump back up to the first one. This isn't a huge issue, but is something that has been bugging me for a while.
* Updates the outdated README in the `ci/` folder.
* Renames the `env.sh` script to `travis-env.sh` because it only works for Travis and is not a generic script.
* Removes the transition from the `stroke` property, because it's not being used anymore.
* Breaks up a few long lines that were exceeding our character limit.
* Switches madge to the programmatic API usage which also allows us to ignore warnings about the dependency on `@angular/cdk` which could not be found by Madge (since it's not a node module)
* This also allows us to reduce the amount of messages that Madge prints. Currently the CI output is not readable because the spinner of the Madge CLI spams everything.
* The custom recognizer called "drag" has been removed a long time ago to avoid collisions with the native `drag` events.
* The demo app still shows the drag event on the gestures demo (which apparently doesn't work now anymore)
* Currently we always limit the difference in kilobytes to two digits after the decimal point. This also needs to be done for the full package size to avoid super long numbers.
* build: properly lint tooling source code
* Fixes a glob that is responsible for IDE's TypeScript service and also for TSLint
* Fixes strict null check errors in the screenshot app. Currently the app can't be compiled properly since strict null checks had been introduced there as well.
* Address feedback
* Gets `md-select` to behave in the same way as `md-input-container` when it comes to errors. This means highlighting itself when it is invalid and touched, or one of the parent forms/form groups is submitted.
* Moves the error state logic into a separate function in order to avoid some hard-to-follow selectors and to potentially allow overrides. This should also be a first step to supporting `md-error` inside `md-select`.
* Changes the required asterisk to always have the theme warn color, similarly to the input asterisk.
Fixes#4611.
Since we're switching all components to OnPush change detection, they won't necessarily react to dynamic changes in the i18n labels. These changes add an `EventEmitter` per provider that allow for components to react to those types of changes. Note that it's up to the consumer to call `provider.changes.emit()` in order to trigger the re-render.
Fixes#5738.
Previously, a standalone expansion panel would transition from `margin: 0` not no set margin, which causes inconsistent behavior of the consumer specified a custom margin on it. These changes make it so it doesn't override the margin at all, unless it's a part of an accordion.
Fixes#5949.
Currently the autocomplete will always prevented the default enter key action, even if the panel is closed, which goes against the native behavior.
Fixes#5976.
* Fixes the `onPositionChange` event from the `ConnectedPositionStrategy` not emitting if the strategy picks one of the fallback positions.
* Fixes the autocomplete panel not having the proper offset when it is in the `above` position. This was tightly-coupled to the `onPositionChange` not firing.
* Fixes a couple of tests that were nested in another test, causing them not to be executed. I've removed one of the tests since it was also duplicated with one above. This seems to have been the result of a faulty conflict resolution.
* Try to make screenshot image size same as before
* change back to 1024 x 768
* Add MdCehckboxRequiredValidator
* extends CheckboxRequiredValidator
* Workaround for aot build error
* Add doc
* fix test
* Deprecates the `selectedChanged` output on the datepicker component in favor of the `dateChange` and `dateInput` bindings on the input element.
Closes#6000
* feat(menu): add injection token for overriding the default options
Adds a new injection token that allows the consumer to override the default values for the `xPosition`, `yPosition` and `overlapTrigger` options.
Fixes#5479.
* fix: unresolved merge conflict and pr feedback
Fixes the `font` declaration on the `md-input-container` being ignored, because it was invalid.
Note: I updated the font size to the correct value from [the spec](https://material.io/guidelines/components/text-fields.html#text-fields-states), however I'm not using it, in order to avoid any breaking changes. Also note that since the line height wasn't being used before, the baseline is now slightly off when next to a select.
Fixes#5262.
* chore(input): switch to OnPush change detection
Switches the `MdInputContainer` to `OnPush` change detection and sorts out the various change detection-related issues.
Relates to #5035.
* chore: linter errors
