Add item_progression: parallel as an owner-gated scheduling extension: the main workflow stays the sole orchestrator and cursor writer, workers execute dependency-independent items in host-provided isolated workspaces, and integration is serialized without advancing mainline history until per-item re-verification passes. Ships the parallel execution protocol reference (wavefront scheduling, contextPacket delegation, active_items recovery records with branched state transitions, item-local vs epic-global blockers, capability fallback), mirrors the contract across bilingual WORKFLOW/CATALOG, ADR-005, AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md, and anchors it in the contract tests. CodeStable v2 Skill Catalog
v2 ships exactly 8 skills. Each is an independent installation unit and does not depend on sibling skill files or a centralized onboard runtime.
Current Entries
| Group | Skill | Responsibility |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation | cs |
Clear actions dispatch in the same turn. Requests to discuss first converge in the current session and hand off in the same turn; advice only recommends; the overview writes no files |
| Onboarding | cs-onboard |
Create minimal project memory and explain a lossless v1 upgrade |
| Feature | cs-feat |
Implement new capability; scale design confirmation and independent review with risk |
| Issue | cs-issue |
Diagnose problems; once repair is authorized, fix with red-to-green evidence |
| Refactor | cs-refactor |
Change structure or performance under verifiable behavioral equivalence |
| Epic | cs-epic |
Decompose, confirm, and advance multiple deliverable items serially and continuously through a permanent Epic doc and temporary work cursor, or concurrently for dependency-independent items under an owner-approved parallel policy |
| Review | cs-review |
Read-only leaf executor for one change, design, module, or repository review |
| Memory | cs-keep |
Manage evidence-backed project facts, lesson lifecycle, and canonical homes |
cs-code-review ships as the single compatibility alias of cs-review (the carried-over v1 name; forwarding only, no independent rules).
Discussion exists only in the current session and creates no work cursor or transcript; stable assets graduate through the owning skill into their canonical homes, while unresolved discussion has no cross-session recovery promise.
A shared language activates only when terminology ambiguity can change behavior or a contract: a Feature converges local semantics, an Epic converges the conceptual system, and ordinary changes add no glossary or gate.
Task skills identify strong signals silently. Ordinary work shows at most one crystallization candidate, while Epic
items defer candidates to the final graduation list. cs-keep evolves lessons through observed / validated / retired;
mechanical guards come first, and creation or cross-project sharing still requires explicit authorization.
Task type determines the engineering method; actual risk determines assurance strength:
Execution flow = minimum complete loop + the least assurance required by each unexcluded risk
Independent review is not a default step. Each risk adds only the assurance directly required by that risk.
Project Knowledge and Epic Boundary
New projects still precreate only .codestable/attention.md, lessons/, and work/. An Epic reuses an existing project home or creates .codestable/epics/ only on first need: the permanent doc keeps goals, scope, approved items, decisions, delivery index, and terminal acceptance, while work/epic-{slug}.md is only a temporary cursor for the approved revision, execution progress, and item_progression / milestone_commit / remote_publish policies; terminal handling deletes the cursor but retains the permanent archive.
When the route is still unclear, the permanent Epic document itself is the route map: decision dependencies derive the frontier, the agent resolves facts, and product judgment or real trade-offs enter HITL. Review and execution begin only when the route is clear, reviewable, and executable; no separate map, issue set, or parallel lifecycle is added.
Epics retain three owner gates: the owner confirms decomposition after independent design review; reconfirms changes to goals, scope, non-goals, acceptance, items, or major risks; and finally accepts only after all items complete and a fresh reviewer performs holistic terminal acceptance against the latest owner-approved criteria. The continuous policy adds no artificial gate at an ordinary item boundary.
The nine v1 historical knowledge directories — roadmap/, features/, issues/, refactors/, goals/, compound/, audits/, brainstorms/, and feedback/ — are searched and cited read-only by task keywords. Do not generate into, rewrite in place, bulk-migrate, or write back to them.
An existing .codestable/requirements/ may be maintained only when .codestable/attention.md explicitly registers it as the canonical requirement location; otherwise it is read-only, and new projects do not create it by default. cs-epic carries forward the useful goal contract, recovery cursor, and acceptance, but does not restore the cs-goal runtime, goal package, state.yaml, per-iteration reports, or runtime gates.
Retired v1.0.4 Entries
The following 24 names are retired and not shipped in v2. No compatibility shims are installed. Upgrading preserves historical project artifacts; it only removes these triggers from the new skill package.
| v1 names | v2 approach |
|---|---|
cs-feat-design, cs-feat-design-review, cs-feat-impl, cs-feat-qa, cs-feat-accept, cs-feat-ff |
Use cs-feat; risk and repository facts determine execution strength |
cs-issue-report, cs-issue-analyze, cs-issue-fix |
Use cs-issue |
cs-refactor-ff |
Use cs-refactor |
cs-audit |
Use the audit mode of cs-review |
cs-goal, cs-roadmap, cs-roadmap-review, cs-roadmap-impl-goal |

cs-brainstorm, cs-domain, cs-req |
Align in the current session through cs, then hand off in the same turn to cs-feat, cs-issue, or cs-epic; the owning skill graduates stable assets into canonical project docs, ADRs, or a permanent Epic |
cs-docs, cs-docs-neat, cs-doc-api, cs-doc-tutorial |
Update docs as part of the owning development task, or request a standalone documentation edit directly |
cs-note |

Store project lessons with cs-keep; submit product feedback through the repository issue process |
Call cs when the mapping is unclear. See
